Kecak Dance and Uluwatu Temple Tour

First stop we will see Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) which is a huge statue with 150 meters high. It is located in the highest point of Ungasan Village with spectacular view of Denpasar City, Ngurah Rai airport and Benoa Harbor. For now, the visitor can visit the area of Garuda’s statue and Wisnu God’s statue. In Hindu mythology, the Garuda is transportation of Wisnu God

The next agenda, we will visit Dreamland Beach which is located in Pecatu Village. This village is famous because it has a surfing beach and good places for swimming. The beach has white sand and surrounding with white rock cliff. There will be big hotel resort, golf course and house property to be built in this area. We can see sunset from here too. To enter this place, you need to pay parking fee.

After visiting Dreamland, we continue the program to visit Uluwatu Temple. Ulu in Balinese means heart, Watu means stone. This temple was built in 11th century by javanese priest Empu Kuturan or as known as Empu Raja Kerta. The temple is located in south western tip of peninsula, up to the blue sea cliff approximately 100 meters high, which is the best place to view of the sunset. In the 16th century, another javanese priest Danghyang Nirartha visited this temple and added more building. He retreated to this temple for his final life for attaining Moksa or freedom. We will watch Kecak Dance at Uluwatu Temple. A Kecak performance is very simple. The men’s chorus chants the words Cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak in rhythm repeatedly. For this reason, this dance is called Kecak or Cak dance. The Kecak dance consists of fifty men wearing only a loin-cloth, the upper part of their bodies is left naked. They form rows of circles and in the middle of it is a coconut oil lamp. The Kecak dance is performed for dance-dramas and the story is taken from the Ramayana epic.

The last place, we will stop at Jimbaran Bay for dinner. Jimbaran is located at south of airport. The beach has white sand (the originally fishing village with fish market). Now there are luxury hotel, Bali Intercontinental Resort and Four-Season Resort. Jimbaran bay is well known with its beachside sea food restaurant. You can visit it while enjoying the sunset and scenery with cold drink and a fresh grill fish with live group music by local singer offered international song and you can request your own song.
